Our Drive On project has been shortlisted for the Bus and the Community Award and Patrick Lawson, a driver at our Ash Grove Depot, has been shortlisted for the Top London Bus Driver prize at the UK Bus Awards.

The Bus and the Community Award recognises projects or activities which make life better for, or provide real benefits to, local people. Our Drive On project aims to create a path to sustainable employment for ex-offenders as London red bus drivers, helping to tackle re-offending. The project works in partnership with Blue Sky, a part of the Forward Trust, with the HCT Group Learning Centre providing the theory and practical elements of bus driver training.

The Top London Bus Driver award celebrates bus drivers who deliver outstanding customer service. Patrick Lawson, who won the Hello London Award for Outstanding Customer Service at Transport for London's (TfL's) annual London Bus Awards in July, is looking to double his honours.

The UK Bus Awards recognise excellence from across the industry from individual achievements, through to projects that deliver innovation and a first-class customer experience. The winners will be announced at an event held on 20 November 2018.
